Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Turkeys... a very odd looking bird uncooked. Cooked, well they look pretty nice. I especially like the skin right after it comes out of the oven, all hot and juicy. Personally I find the meat to be rather dry and hard to palette because, but the dark meat is pretty savory. That noise they make, that people have deemed to be saying "gooble gooble" for whatever reason, well, it isn't audible by the human mouth, and is just plain weird. Call it "yamakamayamakama" if you want, it is all the same jibba jabba.

Personally, I look forward to my mashed potatoes and my mother’s noodles more than anything. Yummmm... my sister makes a nice broccoli cheese casserole too, and sweet potatoes, cranberry stuff, and corn casserole are nice too.

The reality is; we should be having BEEF for TG. A nice succulent prime rib slowly cooked for hours, swimming in juice, making my mouth die of pleasure. But no! We have to eat TURKEY!!! What gives? It is Thanksgiving not Torturegiving!

We all must remember what we are Thankful for. Our family has a tradition of stating what we are thankful for before the meal (I will be lobbying for doing it AFTER the meal this year as my food will be getting cold!!!), and this year I am thankful in particular for my son Ian. I am also thankful for my wife, my parents, brother and sisters, and my in-laws. I am also thankful for my job, my home, and everyone's health. I am also thankful that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, as without this, everything else would be rather moot.

What I am not thankful for? Liberals, in particular Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, and that mule John Kerry. I am also unthankful for raw onions, beets, coconut, and radishes.

Just a spoonful of fish sauce makes the medicine come up... the medicine come up... the medicine come up, oh a spoonful of fish sauce makes the medicine come up... in the most repulsive way!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Whites!

Yummy food choices! Great things to be thankful for! Good things to not be thankful for too. And a catchy jingle at the end to stick in my head and make me remember it all.

Good blogging man!

I like the turkey, but I must admit, I'd choose a nice juicy steak over the traditional holiday bird almost any day. We should start our own tradition and choose a holiday we spend at home and declare it a beef holiday...any suggestions?
